Messaging terms

CallerOps sends SMS text messages on behalf of local service businesses. This page explains what those messages are, how often they arrive, and how to stop them.
Program description
When you call, message, submit a form to, or book an appointment with a business that uses CallerOps, that business may send you text messages about your enquiry. Typical messages include a reply to a call they could not answer, a confirmation that an appointment has been booked, a reminder before that appointment, and replies to messages you send.
Messages are sent from the business’s own phone number. CallerOps operates the platform; the business decides what is sent.
CallerOps is a trading name of TRADE SYSTEMS TECH LLC, Sandusky, OH.
Message frequency
Frequency varies and depends on your interaction with the business. A missed call usually produces a single message. A booked appointment usually produces a confirmation and up to two reminders. Messages you exchange in a conversation you started are not limited.
Cost
Neither CallerOps nor the business charges you to receive these messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan and carrier.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message. We also honour STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT and OPT-OUT.
Send the keyword on its own. A keyword inside a longer sentence is treated as part of your message rather than as an instruction — otherwise “stop by after five” would end the conversation, which is not what anybody meant.
The opt-out takes effect immediately. Any message already queued but not yet delivered is cancelled rather than sent. The opt-out is recorded against your phone number permanently, so a later enquiry with the same business will not restart messages unless you opt in again yourself.
You may opt back in at any time by replying START, UNSTOP or YES to the business’s number, or by asking the business directly.
How to get help
Reply HELP or INFO to any message for the sending business’s contact details. For help with CallerOps itself, email support@callerops.com or call +1-419-239-0512, which texts you straight back; replying to that text reaches us.
Consent
Businesses using CallerOps may only message people who have contacted them or given express written consent. Consent is recorded as an append-only ledger with the basis and the time it was given, and it is never inferred from a purchase or from a number appearing on a list.
Consent to receive messages is never a condition of buying anything.
What happens to your phone number
No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone.
Your number is shared only with the subcontractors that make the service work — the messaging provider that hands the text to your carrier, and the infrastructure that stores it — and only so the message you asked for can reach you. It is never passed to another business using CallerOps, and it is never added to a marketing list.
The full detail is in our privacy policy.
Who can receive these messages
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to take part. These messages are about work a business is doing for you; they are never age-restricted content, and nothing in this programme advertises alcohol, cannabis, gambling or anything else of that kind.
Carriers
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and depends on your carrier and handset.
Supported on all major US carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Boost, Cricket and Metro by T-Mobile. Availability varies by carrier and handset.
Questions people ask
- How do I stop receiving text messages?
- Reply STOP to any message. The opt-out is recorded immediately and permanently for that phone number, and no further messages can be sent to it — including from a different enquiry with the same business at a later date. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT and OPT-OUT are treated the same way. Send the word on its own — a keyword inside a longer sentence is read as part of your message rather than as an instruction to stop.
- Who is actually sending the text message?
- The message comes from the local business you contacted, sent through CallerOps on their behalf. The sender name and the phone number belong to that business, not to CallerOps.
- How many messages will I receive?
- Message frequency varies by business and by what you asked for. A missed call typically produces one reply. An appointment typically produces a confirmation and up to two reminders. Conversations you take part in are not limited.
- Does it cost anything to receive these messages?
- The business does not charge you. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan and carrier.
